Pre-session Activities

  • Pre-session Assignment: Classroom Regulations/Limitations at Your University

When considering the possibility of a paradigm shift in a course grading system, it's important to consider the regulations (and limitations) that your College/University has in place.  Some or all of these factors may be part of your Faculty Handbook (or possibly the University Catalog, etc.).

Before this session, please take some time to look through the course grading regulations in place at your College or University, and write down any major regulations as well as other restrictions or complications that are beyond our control as professors.

You do not need to submit these to us, but please bring them with you to share at the beginning of our session.

For clarity, here are a few examples from your session leaders:

For T's students, they only have 8 semesters to graduate per University policy, so passing every course the first time is crucial.

For Josh's students, no graded exams or quizzes can be given during the last week of classes.
